About the Artist

My artwork is the reflection of my journey through life with all of its experiences and influences. I love to work in layers in an attempt to visualize depth and age. I’m captivated by what may be hidden underneath; whether it be the layers of human experience or the influence of the elements on material objects.

The union of composition and color in my work is meant to reflect emotional balance, using nature as my inspiration. My palette is in constant flux, reflecting the world around me. I love the psychology behind the many moods of color.  I’m not committed to evoking a singular state of mind, but am continuously fascinated by the rainbow of responses prompted by the simple act of choosing a palette.

I am not sure where my artwork will take me in the future, but I hope I will always be asking the question “What will I be when I grow up?”  You see, as my artwork is me, and it is always being changed and refined, I am therefore always in a state of becoming….
